NFL & Bowl Picks – Week 16

sportsbook-lg-01

Last Week ATS: 4-2

Last Week ML: 1-1 (+1.1 units)

Last Week Alternative Lines: 2-1 (+3.3 units)

2015 Season ATS: 109-109-3 (50%)

2015 Season ML: 12-19 (+6.1 units)

2015 Alternative Lines: 4-1 (+7.65 units)

2014 Season ATS: 77-48-5 (62%)

My last 9 weeks I’ve gone 69-57-1 (55%), plus look at those money line and alternative line numbers…almost +14 units for the season.

Bowl season is a great time to find really good and really bad spots for teams. Look for the ML and Alt Line plays to really ramp up between bowl games and late season NFL.

Occasionally I will post plays only on my Facebook page, so keep an eye out there.

College:

New Mexico + 9, ML +295: The game is in New Mexico, so I’ll take the de facto home dog. Big reverse line move and I could see Arizona’s defense struggling against the Lobo’s triple option attack. New Mexico has one of the best red zone defenses in the country and hasn’t played in a bowl in a decade. I’ll take the team that isn’t just happy to be there.

BYU +3: Utah is a different team without Devontae Booker. Bronco Mendenhall’s swan song with BYU as he departs to become the head coach at Virginia. Thinking his guys send him off with a win over their big instate rival. I can’t imagine the casino and strip club revenues in Las Vegas saw an uptick with these two fanbases in town.

Oklahoma -3 (CFB semifinals vs Clemson, posted in last weeks picks post)

NFL:

Bills -1 (locked in Monday on Facebook page): Streaky Buffalo has played a gauntlet schedule the past month, and now gets to feast on a porous Redskins run defense. The Bills defensive numbers have dropped severely under Rex Ryan, but this Redskins puzzle isn’t tough to solve. Stop Jordan Reed and you stop the Skins. This game is extra suspicious since Buffalo is actually a road fave here. Redskins big look ahead spot to next Saturday versus Philly which will probably decide the division, whether they win or loss against Buffalo. Redskins haven’t won two games in a row all season; that streak continues tomorrow.

Broncos +6 and ML +216 (locked in Monday on Facebook page): The public is somehow jumping on Denver and the line is ticking towards Pittsburgh -7. I may end up taking Pittsburgh and losing the juice, or taking Steelers as a play. I was going to cancel this but since I posted it so early I figure I should leave it up as a play for record purposes. Stay tuned.

Update, 4:45pm: if anyone cares, I’ve been without Internet/cell service most of the day. I’m riding with Denver.
